Products and services in each category will be judged on a variety of factors, including quality, uniqueness, authenticity as well as diversity and inclusion practices within the company. Judges will also take into consideration how well your product or service represents Canada’s East Coast and if the materials are locally sourced.
Submission essays should be no less than 500 words and should not exceed 1,200 words. Additional supporting material is welcome and can include logos, photos, video, supporting articles and testimonials. (Video content should not exceed 10 minutes.)
Three finalists will be chosen in each category.
*A tasting panel may be set up for the finalists in the “Consumptive Retail Products” category, and finalists might be asked to submit a sample.
If the judges are interested in sampling your product, you will be notified. Please only send us your product if you receive an email request.
The Diversity Atlantic Awards, presented by TD and Advocate are open to all BIPOC entrepreneurs and immigrants (newcomers to North America) in Atlantic Canada, as well as the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and people with disabilities whose products and businesses are “Made Right Here”.
